Apply for FEMA Assistance:
Florida homeowners and renters in certain counties affected by
Hurricane Ian may apply for FEMA disaster assistance.
Call (800) 621-3362 from 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. Eastern Time Use
FEMA’s mobile app.

Florida REALTORS® has compiled a list of details you’ll need when applying. For more information about recovery aid, visit the 
Hurricane Ian page on FEMA’s site.

To be considered for all forms of disaster assistance, applicants should register online at or download the
FEMA mobile app. If online or mobile access is unavailable, applicants should call the FEMA toll-free helpline at 800-621-3362.Those who use 711-Relay or Video Relay Services should call 800-621-3362.

Florida Disaster Unemployment Programs:
Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) is available to Florida businesses and residents in FEMA disaster-declared counties whose employment or self-employment was lost or interrupted as a direct result of Hurricane Ian. To file a claim, click here or call (800) 385-3920 

SBA Disaster Assistance Loans:
Following a Presidential Disaster Declaration, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) provides low-interest disaster loans to help businesses and homeowners recover from declared disasters. 
Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application via SBA’s secure website at and should apply under SBA declaration #17644.

Disaster loan information and application forms may also be obtained by calling the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (if you are deaf, hard of hearing or have a speech disability, dial 711 to access telecommunications relay services) or by sending an email to

The physical loan application deadline is Nov. 28. The deadline to return economic injury applications is June 29, 2023.

Take The Business Damage Assessment Survey:
The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity and the State
Emergency Response Team activated the
Business Damage Assessment Survey in response to Hurricane Ian.
Survey responses will allow the state to expedite Hurricane Ian recovery efforts by gathering data and assessing the needs of affected businesses.
